PelicanCorp is pleased to announce that it has gained pre-approval supplier status on the Local Buy BUS243-113 Council Business System panel contract. This panel allows public serving institutions, including but not limited to local, state and federal government, to purchase from the panel without having to go through lengthy and costly tender procurement processes. Instead they can simply request a quote and then raise a purchase order referencing the panel contract. Local Buy is Queensland based, but allows purchases to be made by organisations from across all of Australia.

PelicanCorp has a suite of solutions available via the panel contract. These include TicketAccess, PermitAccess, OneCallAccess API, PlanAccess and WorksAccess.

About Local Buy

Local Buy is a Queensland Government initiative that was established by the Local Government Association of Queensland (LGAQ) to provide value added procurement services to councils and government entities and to aggregate the purchasing power of local government. A contract established by Local Buy enables councils or other government entities to purchase goods and services from Local Buy contracted suppliers without having to seek tenders or quotes. Local Buy is required by the Local Government Act 2009 to conduct an open tender process to establish these contracts.

Local Buy has also established more than 40 pre-qualified supplier arrangements for Councils since 2012. This effectively means that Councils can access a range of goods and services through a quotation rather than a tender process, saving time and money. These arrangements also provide suppliers an opportunity to partner and engage with Local Government entities through one centralised source.
