PelicanCorp acquires Asplundh One Call, Inc. to further expand its presence in international markets.

PelicanCorp made an announcement today that it had finalised a deal with Asplundh One Call. The USA based company provides full turnkey operations that include professional staffing and management and call center services as well as hardware and software necessary for the provision of in-house One Call services.

Fisher German the owners of Linesearch.org and PelicanCorp the owners of BeforeUdig are joining forces to deliver Great Britain’s most powerful, free to use, online enquiry portal for utility infrastructure information. This service will be known as LinesearchbeforeUdig.

LinesearchbeforeUdig is made up of Members whose pipes, cables and wires run above and below ground. Anyone can use this free portal to check if utility infrastructure is in the immediate area of planned works. The enquiry portal includes searches for electricity, gas, oil, and telecom assets.

The added benefit of the portal is that a single search can be conducted at anytime and the enquirer receives an instant response. If these enquiries are not made beforehand, there could be significant damage to infrastructure and in the worst case, cause death.
